Portoro

Portoro is a high-end, luxury, black Italian marble renowned for its deep black color, fine-grained, and spectacular gold-to-white veins. Geologically, it is a limestone that has undergone partial dolomitization, forming a dense and compact, though relatively soft, crystalline structure. It is primarily quarried in the Porto Venere area of Liguria, Italy, though similar varieties are found in China.
